In our continuous journey of growth and innovation at Carnival UK, we are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to bring fresh insights and expertise to our finance department.

Role overview

The Assistant Management Accountant is responsible for assisting with the end-to-end accounting and compliance processes associated with the CUK Accounting Team, ensuring that prime entries are accurately accounted for and controlled. This role will also provide ad-hoc technical accounting advice and project support, as well as supporting initiatives to streamline or automate processes to drive efficiencies and improve performance.

This pivotal role will involve:

  1. Accountability for assigned month-end accounting processes, including journal and balance sheet reconciliation preparation and scrutiny.
  2. Ensuring accurate financial information is prepared to deadlines with due care and attention.
  3. Providing insight into the drivers of accounting performance to enable Finance Business Partner teams and internal customers to understand and control their areas of accountability.
  4. Being a subject matter expert on cross-functional projects to enable improvement, development, and successful implementation of changes, including BAU delivery.

With professional study opportunities available after probation, this role is perfect for candidates looking to begin or progress studies towards becoming a fully qualified accountant.

This role is positioned at CUK10 level within our organization and is available on a full-time, permanent basis. We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.
