Job Opportunity: Assistant Management Accountant

Join a global airline logistics company in the Airlines and Aviation sector. As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will support various financial functions including:

1. Month-end close processes, financial statement production, and analytical work to understand financial movements, along with business partnering stakeholders. Responsibilities also include VAT, tax, and audit duties.
2. Implementing a modern approach to finance through automation and system improvements to streamline processes.
3. Monthly production of financial statements following a successful close.
4. Developing a thorough understanding of all business costs to support decision-making through business partnering and close engagement with operational teams.
5. Understanding key cost drivers that vary with volume.
6. Supporting the Finance Business Partner with weekly and monthly reporting, variance analysis, and performance evaluation against budgets and forecasts.
7. Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the team.
8. Managing the audit process and building relationships with external auditors.
9. Developing and adhering to internal financial controls, and improving processes where necessary.
10. Collaborating with P&L owners to ensure accurate monthly reporting aligned with budgets.
11. Working with the transactions accounting team and Finance Controller on annual budgets and quarterly re-forecasts.
12. Establishing and maintaining financial policies and procedures.
13. Partnering with the Finance Director and Financial Controller on ad hoc projects.

This hybrid role is based in West London, requiring 3 days on-site (potentially 4 during initial weeks).
