Job Description
- Contributing to the billing process and supporting revenue recognition activities.
- Assisting in the tracking and administration of fixed assets, including capital investments and lease agreements.
- Helping to compile monthly accruals and manage prepayment schedules.
- Managing intercompany transactions and ensuring accurate reconciliations.
- Analysing overhead costs and providing insights into expenditure trends.
- Supporting the entry and processing of both accounts payable and receivable invoices.
- Performing bank reconciliations and ensuring correct allocation of incoming funds.
- Preparing reconciliations for balance sheet accounts to maintain financial accuracy.
- Posting journal entries as part of the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and recommending system improvements.
- Delivering financial insights and collaborating with both management and financial accountants, as well as cross-functional teams.
The Successful Applicant
- A degree in accounting or a closely related field is essential.
- Actively pursuing a professional accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or an equivalent certification.
- Prior experience in accounting, particularly with involvement in month-end processes within a corporate setting, is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions like VLOOKUP and PivotTables, along with a basic understanding of PowerPoint, is necessary.
