Job summary

Polypipe Limited, operating as Polypipe Building Services in Aylesford, seeks an Assistant Management Accountant to deliver precise financial reporting, cost analysis and performance insights to support operational decision making.

The role covers intercompany pricing, period reporting, GRNI reconciliations, month-end close, and KPI analysis for manufacturing operations. Hybrid work, ACCA/CIMA study support and ERP/Excel proficiency are valued.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA (study support can be provided).
• Commercial and/or industry experience.
• Good understanding and experience of ERP systems (SAGE is desirable but not essential).
• Good Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and maintain monthly intercompany pricing.
• Complete periodic operational statutory reporting, including National Statistics submissions.
• Prepare GRNI balance sheet reconciliations for review by the Finance Manager.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including journals.
• Produce and deliver accurate daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational reports within agreed timescales.
• Produce and analyse manufacturing KPI reports for operational colleagues.
• Support the Management Accountant in analysing manufacturing costs, labour costs, overhead absorption, and production variances.
• Support inventory valuation processes, stock reconciliations, and periodic stock counts.
• Assist with investigation of inventory discrepancies and manufacturing variances.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support finance projects as required by the Finance Manager.
