Job summary

Polypipe Building Services, part of the Genuit Group, is hiring an Assistant Management Accountant to deliver accurate financial reporting, cost analysis and operational insights to support decisions.

You will handle intercompany pricing, month-end processes, KPI reporting and inventory valuation, working in a hybrid setup with office and home days. A commercial mindset and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA with study support offered.
• Commercial/industry experience.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAGE desirable).
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly intercompany pricing.
• Complete statutory reporting including National Statistics submissions.
• Prepare GRNI balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end close and journals.
• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational reports.
• Analyse manufacturing KPI reports for operations.
• Support cost and variances analysis for manufacturing.
• Assist with inventory valuation and stock reconciliations.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and variances.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support finance projects.

Job description

The Assistant Management Accountant's role will provide accurate financial reporting, manufacturing cost analysis and performance insights to enable effective operational and strategic decision making. The key accountabilities and responsibilities of the role includes:

• Calculate and maintain monthly intercompany pricing.
• Complete periodic operational statutory reporting, including National Statistics submissions.
• Prepare GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced) balance sheet reconciliations for review by the Finance Manager.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including journals
• Produce and deliver accurate daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational reports within agreed timescales.
• Produce and analyse manufacturing KPI reports for operational colleagues.
• Support the Management Accountant in analysing manufacturing costs, labour costs, overhead absorption, and production variances.
• Support the Management Accountant with inventory valuation processes, stock reconciliations, and periodic stock counts.
• Assist with the investigation of inventory discrepancies and manufacturing variances.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support finance projects as required by the Finance Manager.

Person Specification

• Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA (study support can be provided)
• Commercial and/or industry experience
• Good understanding and experience of ERP systems (SAGE is desirable but not essential)
• Good Microsoft Excel skills

Working hours & Benefits

• Monday - Friday - 37.5 hours per week - this is a hybrid position with 3 days minimum in the office and 2 days optional from home
