Thompsons Solicitors in Newcastle is seeking an Assistant Lawyer to join the Professional Regulatory and Crime team. You will manage your own regulatory caseload, building strong client relationships and delivering expert advice and representation.

You will work with a supportive team, handling cases end-to-end while developing under supervision. The role suits a solicitor or equivalent with interest in regulatory law and a proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyers—ideally with 0–2 years’ PQE—in Regulatory Law.
• Experience with electronic case management systems is desirable.
• Strong communication and client-care skills are essential.

We’re looking for an Assistant Lawyer to join our Professional Regulatory team, where you’ll manage your own caseload of Regulatory matters. This is a fantastic role for a regulatory law professional who enjoys taking ownership of cases, building strong client relationships, and making a real difference through expert legal advice and representation.

You’ll work closely with an experienced and supportive team, handling cases from start to finish while developing your skills and confidence under appropriate supervision.
