Job summary

YourRecruit Ltd is seeking an Assistant/Junior Buyer to join the Buying Team and develop a long-term career by taking on broader responsibilities with international suppliers. You will help bring products to market from concept to delivery, ensuring accuracy and retail readiness while coordinating with Sales, Design and Logistics teams.

• At least 3 years experience in an Assistant Buyer or Junior Buyer role.
• Experience with Far East suppliers and retail products buying process.
• Experience with sea freight and international shipping.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and a proactive approach.
• Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• A passion for buying and product development.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (location dependent).

Responsibilities

• Managing the product journey from concept through to delivery.
• Building relationships with Far East suppliers.
• Raising purchase orders and managing the critical path.
• Reviewing product samples and coordinating testing/inspections.
• Collaborating with Sales, Design and Logistics teams.
• Monitoring shipping schedules, sea freight and customs clearance.
• Ensuring product information is accurate, compliant and retail-ready.
• Keeping multiple projects on track with strong attention to detail.

Role

Working closely with the Buying Team, you will play a key role in bringing products to market, supporting the full buying process from initial concept through to delivery into retail.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience within an Assistant Buyer or Junior Buyer position
• Experience working with Far East suppliers

• Experience with sea freight and international shipping
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
• Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• A genuine passion for buying and product development
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (due to location)
