Job summary

VonHaus, a Manchester-based ecommerce business, is seeking an Assistant Buyer to join our Buying team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will support a diverse range of home and lifestyle products, helping deliver commercially successful product ranges, with a hybrid working model.

Working with Buyers and Far East suppliers, you will obtain product details, pricing, samples, lead times and documentation, maintain cost data and monitor market trends to inform range decisions.

• Critical path workflow and management skills.
• Strong administrative skills with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation, influencing and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to understand and respond to changes in demand, supply and logistics.

Responsibilities

• Support our Buying team across a diverse range of home and lifestyle products, helping deliver commercially successful product ranges.
• Work closely with Buyers and Far East suppliers, you will support new product development and existing ranges, obtaining product details, pricing, samples, lead times and documentation.
• Maintain accurate product, supplier and cost information, supporting purchase orders and tracking critical path milestones to ensure products are delivered on time.
• Monitor market trends, pricing and competitor activity.
• Provide insights to help inform range decisions.
• Prepare reports, presentations and data analysis for range reviews.
• Support the Buyer with ad-hoc projects and day-to-day tasks.

The Role

About You
