Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. seeks an experienced Assistant IT Manager to support six primary schools across Bolton, Bury and Halifax.

The role blends hands-on IT support with leadership, reporting to the IT Manager to ensure high-quality services across multiple sites. You will maintain Bromcom MIS, Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365, mentor on-site staff, manage network infrastructure, and travel between sites with a full UK driving license.

Qualifications

• Must have school-based IT support experience.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Strong networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience leading IT staff or teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IT services across six primary schools.
• Provide hands-on technical support to staff and pupils.
• Maintain Windows Server, AD and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Support Bromcom MIS administration and user support.
• Lead on IT projects and infrastructure upgrades.
• Mentor on-site IT support staff and ensure security/compliance.
