Job summary

easyHotel in Oxford is seeking an Assistant Hotel Manager to lead the hotel team, support the Hotel Manager, and ensure guest experiences meet brand standards.

You will recruit, engage and develop staff, work with Revenue and Finance to hit targets, and deliver cost-saving initiatives alongside maintenance and housekeeping. This is a full-time, permanent role with a competitive salary and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Hospitality experience in a similar role or readiness for the next step.
• Fluent in English and eligible to work in the UK.
• Must hold a valid Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and act as deputy in the absence of the Hotel Manager.
• Develop the hotel team and drive performance.
• Collaborate with Revenue and Finance to meet hotel objectives and promote sales.
• Reduce out of order rooms by working with Maintenance.
• Set performance objectives and identify training needs.
• Support Hotel Manager with team rotas and guest service excellence.

As our Assistant Hotel Manager you will be responsible for the recruitment, engagement & development of the hotel team, making sure they deliver a great experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role.

Role & Responsbilities:

• Provide leadership and act as the deputy in the absence of the Hotel Manager
• Build awareness of the hotel and brand in the local community
• Working closely with the Revenue and Finance teams to meet your hotel objectives and promote sales
• Reduce out of order rooms by working closely with Maintenance Technician
• Engaging and developing the team to drive performance
• Set performance objectives and identify training needs
• Support the Hotel Manager with team rotas
• Delivering high standard rooms by working closely with housekeeping
• Delivering cost savings in your hotel
• Liaising with support functions to be commercially aware and understanding hotel initiatives

Requirements:

• Previous hospitality experience (either in a similar role or you are ready for your next step)
• Fluent in English
• Must hold a valid Right to Work

Advantageous

• Ability to speak any other language
• Degree in hospitality or related field
