Job summary

The University of Manchester is seeking an Assistant Hospitality Services Manager to lead the cafe and hospitality operations at the Manchester Museum, on the main campus. The role requires managing the cafe/coffee bar and coordinating with Conferencing and Hospitality to maximise business success.

Ideal candidates will have experience running restaurants in similar venues, with strong hospitality knowledge, event administration skills, and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Hospitality qualification or equivalent required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience running/restaurants or events in a similar venue.

Responsibilities

• Run cafe, food and conference hospitality on a day-to-day basis.
• Collaborate with Conferencing and Hospitality across the University.
• Identify opportunities to grow the business and improve service.
