Job summary

Walliscote Primary School in Weston-Super-Mare is seeking an exceptional Assistant Headteacher and SENDCO to lead our SEND, EAL and safeguarding-focused agenda. You will join a committed senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping inclusion and high standards across the school.

• Significant SEND leadership and inclusion experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for SEND, EAL and Children in Care.
• Lead and develop inclusive practice across the school.
• Support staff in meeting diverse learner needs.
• Collaborate with families, external agencies and trust colleagues.
• Be a key member of the senior leadership team shaping school direction.
• Ensure all pupils, especially vulnerable learners, achieve progress.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and partners.
