Walliscote Primary School in Weston-super-Mare is seeking an exceptional assistant headteacher to join our senior leadership team and lead our work around SEND, EAL, Children in Care and other vulnerable pupils. This permanent, 0.8 FTE leadership post offers a chance to shape inclusive practice across the school, support staff and families, and partner with the trust to drive sustained improvement.

The role carries a generous salary (£54,924–£60,619) and the opportunity to make a real difference

Qualifications

• Proven senior leadership experience in SEND and inclusion.
• Experience leading EAL and Children in Care initiatives.
• Commitment to equity, belonging and removing barriers to learning.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic leadership for SEND, EAL and Children in Care.
• Lead and develop inclusive practice across the school.
• Support staff in meeting diverse learners' needs.
• Work closely with families, external agencies and trust colleagues.
• Be a key member of the senior leadership team shaping the school's direction.
• Ensure vulnerable learners achieve and feel a sense of belonging.
