Job summary

Woodfield School, a specialist SEND setting, seeks an Assistant Headteacher to lead whole-school priorities, improve teaching and curriculum pathways, and coach staff to meet complex needs. You will work closely with families, therapists and health and social care partners to raise outcomes while upholding safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
• Experience leading whole-school priorities and driving improvement.
• Strong ability to coach colleagues and develop staff through professional development.

Responsibilities

• Lead school improvement across teaching, curriculum pathways and outcomes using evidence and professional judgement.
• Lead delegated whole-school priorities and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Play a major role in strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the school.
• Ensure every pupil receives a personalised education reflecting EHCP outcomes and needs.
• Plan for pupils' aspirations and preparation for adulthood.
• Collaborate with families, therapists, social care, health professionals and Trust colleagues to secure best outcomes.
