The Wigmore Primary School in Gosport is seeking an inspiring Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion to join our Senior Leadership Team. You will lead the SEND strategy, champion inclusive Quality First Teaching, and shape whole-school provision for children with SEND across the curriculum.

Experience in a school environment is desirable. You will line-manage pastoral, teaching and support teams, oversee EHCP processes, and ensure robust safeguarding and wellbeing across the school.

Responsabilités

• Strategic Leadership: Drive whole-school improvement, self-evaluation, and inclusion strategy as a key member of our Senior Leadership Team.
• Provision & Inclusion: Lead high-quality SEND provision (including ARP), ensuring tailored support and optimal academic and personal outcomes.
• Team Development: Line manage and empower pastoral, teaching, and support teams through CPD, coaching, and mentorship.
• Statutory Compliance & Partnerships: Oversee EHCP processes, manage the SEND register, and liaise with external agencies, local authorities, and families.
• Resource Management: Strategically allocate high-needs funding and SEND budgets to maximise impact.
• Safeguarding & Wellbeing: Collaborate with the DSL to ensure robust pastoral care and positive behaviour support.

We are seeking to appoint an inspiring, driven, and highly effective Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion to join our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and drive our whole-school inclusion and SEND strategy. As our Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic direction, leading high-quality provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and championing inclusive Quality First Teaching across our entire curriculum.

What the role entails

• Strategic Leadership: Drive whole-school improvement, self-evaluation, and inclusion strategy as a key member of our Senior Leadership Team.
• Provision & Inclusion: Lead high-quality SEND provision (including our Additional Resourced Provision/ARP), ensuring tailored support and optimal academic and personal outcomes.
• Team Development: Line manage and empower our pastoral, teaching, and support teams through high-impact CPD, coaching, and mentorship.
• Statutory Compliance & Partnerships: Oversee EHCP processes, manage the SEND register, and act as the key liaison for external agencies, local authorities, and families.
• Resource Management: Strategically allocate high-needs funding and SEND budgets to maximize impact.
• Safeguarding & Wellbeing: Collaborate closely with the DSL to ensure robust pastoral care and positive behaviour support.

Experience of working in a school environment is desirable for this post.
