Job summary

Teaching Vacancies in Oswestry is seeking a high-profile Assistant Headteacher to drive strategic vision, school growth and improvement across a large primary academy. You will lead curriculum initiatives, oversee safeguarding, manage a substantial staff and pupil cohort, and collaborate with the Headteacher and SLT to maintain outstanding teaching and learning standards.

You will champion inclusion, raise attainment, analyse performance data to inform decisions, and support staff development

Qualifications

NPQH, NPQSL or equivalent.
Senior leadership experience in a large primary setting.
Experience liaising with parents and stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and assessments.
Ability to analyse performance data to drive strategic decisions.
Experience in safeguarding and DSL duties.

Responsibilities

Translate the school vision into actionable development plans and oversee the day-to-day operations of a large campus.
Lead strategic curriculum, assessment, and safeguarding initiatives across year groups.
Line-manage senior teams and support staff development and performance appraisal.
Prepare high-quality reports for the Board of Trustees and academy committees.
