Job summary

Gladstone Primary Academy in Peterborough is seeking an Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion to lead the academy's inclusion strategy and ensure every pupil receives support to thrive.

You will provide strategic leadership for attendance, behaviour, safeguarding, SEND, and Personal Development, acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead or Deputy, and work with staff, families and Trust to raise outcomes for vulnerable pupils.

• Experience leading inclusion strategies across a school.
• Strong track record improving outcomes for vulnerable pupils.
• Experience in safeguarding, attendance and SEND.

Yourrole:

Asour Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion, you will be a key member of the SeniorLeadership Team, shaping and leading the academy's strategic vision forinclusion and ensuring that every pupil has the support,challenge and opportunities they need to thrive.

Youwill provide strategic leadership for attendance, behaviour, safeguarding,SEND, Personal Development and Relationships and Sex Education (RSE), ensuringthat systems and provision are highly effective and contribute to improvedoutcomes for all pupils. Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) orDeputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), you will promote a culture whereevery child feels safe, valued and able to succeed while contributing toacademy improvement planning, self-evaluation and strategic decision-making.

Workingcollaboratively with staff, families, external agencies and Trust colleagues,you will champion inclusion and belonging, develop colleagues, driveimprovement through effective use of data and ensure vulnerable pupils receivethe support and opportunities they need to succeed.

You will bring a strong understanding ofinclusive education, SEND, safeguarding, attendance and behaviour, alongsideexcellent communication skills and the ability to build positiverelationships across the academy community.
