Job summary

Gladstone Primary Academy's SEND Gateway Provision is seeking a SEND Class Teacher to lead high-needs classrooms, supporting up to 14 pupils in each pathway and delivering personalised learning aligned to EHCP outcomes.

You will work closely with Room Leads, families and external professionals to create a nurturing, structured environment where pupils are challenged, engaged and empowered to reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with SEND experience.
• Experience delivering student-centred learning within a SEND environment.
• Strong assessment, personalised learning and inclusive teaching strategies.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.

Your role:

As SEND Class Teacher, you will lead high-quality provision across two specialist high-needs classrooms, supporting up to 14 pupils in each pathway. You will plan and deliver personalised learning experiences aligned to pupils' EHCP outcomes, ensuring every child is challenged, engaged and empowered to reach their full potential. Working closely with Room Leads, support staff, families and external professionals, you will be instrumental in creating a nurturing, structured and stimulating environment where pupils can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

We are looking for a qualified teacher with experience of delivering student-centred learning within a SEND environment. You will have a strong understanding of assessment, personalised learning and inclusive teaching strategies, alongside the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families. Experience of supporting autistic pupils, delivering evidence-based approaches such as Attention Autism or Intensive Interaction, and using specialist assessment tools would be advantageous.
