Job summary

Farlingaye High School in Woodbridge is seeking an outstanding Assistant Headteacher to join the Senior Leadership Team and lead inclusion across the school.

You will drive SEND, pupil premium and other vulnerable groups to excel, ensuring high-quality teaching, robust systems and inclusive practice; NPQ for SENCOs is preferred or you will work towards it. This is a permanent role starting January 2027.

Farlingaye High School are seeking to appoint a high-calibre Assistant Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team and lead inclusion at the school.

This is a pivotal role within the school. You will provide clear, strategic leadership for inclusion, ensuring that pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), those eligible for pupil premium, and other vulnerable groups are fully supported to succeed both academically and personally. You will play a central role in ensuring that high-quality teaching, effective support, and robust systems combine to secure strong outcomes for all.

As the successful candidate, you will either hold, or be willing to work towards, a National Professional Qualification for SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators).
