SANZA Teaching Agency is working with a welcoming and ambitious primary school in Brent to recruit an experienced and inspirational Assistant Headteacher for September.
This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding primary practitioner and experienced leader to join the school's Senior Leadership Team, with a particular responsibility for driving standards and supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 2.
The Headteacher is specifically looking for someone with substantial and successful KS2 experience. You must have an excellent understanding of teaching and learning across Years 3-6, the KS2 National Curriculum, assessment and pupil progress. Applications are welcomed from existing Assistant Headteachers, as well as highly successful KS2 Phase Leaders, Year Group Leaders or experienced middle leaders who are ready to progress into senior leadership.
Working closely with the Headteacher and SLT, you will play an important role in the strategic and day‑to‑day leadership of the school.
To be considered for this Assistant Headteacher position, you will need:
Strong KS2 Experience Is Essential. For this particular appointment, the school requires someone with a genuine depth of KS2 experience. You should understand the expectations across Years 3-6, including curriculum progression, assessment, pupil outcomes and preparing children successfully for the transition to secondary school. Candidates whose experience has predominantly been within EYFS or KS1 without significant KS2 experience are unlikely to be suitable.
Previous Assistant Headteacher experience is desirable but not essential if you can demonstrate strong leadership impact and are ready for senior leadership.
