Red Kite School in Princes Risborough is seeking an ambitious Assistant Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team. The role combines strategic leadership with a 70% teaching commitment, enabling you to influence teaching, behaviour and student outcomes while remaining actively involved in day-to-day education.

With QTS and a relevant degree, you will lead on Behaviour and Attitudes, coaching staff and building positive relationships across the school.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
• Proven leadership experience within a school setting.
• Strong knowledge of behaviour and attitudes, curriculum development, assessment and school improvement.
• Experience implementing behaviour strategies and supporting positive student outcomes.
• Ability to coach, develop and inspire staff while driving high standards.
• Strong communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and helping every student succeed.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Headteacher to provide strategic and operational leadership across the school.
• Lead on the school's Behaviour and Attitudes strategy, promoting a positive, restorative approach.
• Maintain a 70% teaching commitment, modelling high-quality classroom practice.
• Drive high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour and student achievement.
• Monitor behaviour, attendance and student progress data, identifying trends and interventions.
• Lead school improvement initiatives using assessment, data and evidence.
