Position: Assistant Headteacher

Location: Norton College, Worcester, WR5 2BA

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

We now have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Headteacher to join our close-knit team at Norton College in Worcester.

About the role:

The Assistant Headteacher will:

• Be a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
• Assist the Head of School in leading and managing the College.
• Take responsibility for the organisation and management of the College in the absence of the Head of School.
• Undertake teaching duties as required.
• Undertake such duties as delegated by the Head of School.

Main Tasks

The specific responsibilities will vary according to the College's needs and may be shared. Key responsibilities include:

• Pastoral care for students.
• Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Leading Curriculum Development and oversight.
• Designated Teacher for Looked After Children (LAC) and Previously Looked After Children (PLAC).
• Leading annual reviews for Looked After Children.
• Designated Trauma-Informed Practitioner.
• Teaching commitments.
• Internal organisation, management, and control of the College.
• Statistical analysis.
• Staff management.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Education Degree.
