Are you ready to take the next step in your leadership career while staying connected to the classroom and the students you support?, At Red Kite School, we're looking for an ambitious and passionate Assistant Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team and play an important role in shaping the continued development of our specialist school. Working closely with the Headteacher, you'll combine strategic leadership with a 70% teaching commitment, giving you the opportunity to lead by example and remain directly involved in the day to day education of our students. You'll influence teaching and learning, student outcomes, staff development and whole school improvement, while helping create a culture where both students and colleagues can thrive. Your Leadership Impact As Assistant Headteacher, you'll:

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Headteacher to provide strategic and operational leadership across the school
• Maintain a 70% teaching commitment, modelling high quality classroom practice and ambitious expectations
• Drive high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour and student achievement
• Lead school improvement initiatives, using assessment, data and evidence to identify priorities and strengthen outcomes
• Monitor student progress and ensure appropriate interventions are in place to help every student move forward
• Coach, mentor and develop colleagues, supporting professional growth and building a confident and effective team
• Champion safeguarding, wellbeing and positive relationships throughout the school
• Build strong partnerships with families, professionals and external stakeholders while contributing to the school's long term vision and development

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
• Successful leadership experience within a school environment
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development, assessment and school improvement
• Experience supporting, coaching and developing colleagues to improve practice and outcomes
• The ability to motivate and inspire both students and staff
• A commitment to high quality education, inclusion and improving opportunities for young people
• Strong communication and collaborative leadership skills
• A clear commitment to safeguarding and maintaining high expectations across the school
• A full UK driving licence
• NPQSL or another recognised leadership qualification would be desirable but is not essential
