Job summary

Capio Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Assistant Head of Conveyancing in Banbury. You will manage your own complex residential caseload while supporting the Head of Conveyancing with day-to-day department management across multiple offices.

The role requires at least 5 years PQE in residential conveyancing, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to business development along with AML compliance. Driving licence and car access are required.

Qualifications

• Solicitor/CLC qualified with at least 5 years PQE.
• Extensive experience in residential conveyancing (sales, purchases, leasehold, shared ownership, transfers of equity).
• Experience supervising junior team members.
• Strong knowledge of AML, SRA Accounts Rules and the SRA Code of Conduct.
• Commercial awareness and pro-active business development.
• Excellent organisational and client-management skills.
• Driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Department with training, development and file reviews.
• Manage your own varied and complex conveyancing caseload.
• Lead the department in the Head of Department’s absence.
• Develop new business opportunities through networking, exhibitions and marketing activity.
• Ensure compliance with AML & Lexcel; monitor KPIs and targets.
• Provide clear advice and regular updates while maintaining high client service.
