Job summary

Humble Grape Battersea is seeking an ambitious Assistant General Manager to join our team and help deliver the exceptional guest experience we're known for.

This role offers a genuine growth path: you'll work with our senior team, lead busy services, coach your people, and develop a clear route toward becoming a General Manager.

You'll contribute to P&L and GP, uphold Humble Grape standards across wine, food and service, and gain exposure across seven venues with senior leadership mentorship.

Qualifications

• Previous AGM or equivalent management experience in a busy, quality-led hospitality venue.
• Strong leadership with ability to develop and motivate teams.
• Commercial awareness with understanding of GP, P&L and venue performance.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Ambition to progress to General Manager and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Lead the floor during busy services, delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Support the General Manager in running smooth, high-performing daily operations.
• Champion Humble Grape standards across wine, food, service and guest experience.
• Coach and develop your team, building a positive culture and strong performance.
• Drive commercial performance with exposure to P&L, GP, covers and stock control.
• Identify opportunities to improve operations, team performance and profitability.
• Collaborate across seven Humble Grape venues for wider business exposure.
