Job summary

Livelyhood Pub Group is seeking an Assistant General Manager for The Bull in Wanstead. You will support the General Manager, run daily operations, lead the team and help deliver exceptional hospitality and guest experiences. This role is a live-out, full-time opportunity within a vibrant, community-focused London pub group.

You’ll work across food and beverage to maintain high standards, drive sales and profitability, and progress toward GM opportunities within our independent hospitality family.

• Experience managing a busy pub, bar or restaurant team.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to act as GM.
• Interest in progressing to GM role.
• Strong customer service focus.

The Assistant General Manager Role

As Assistant General Manager, you’ll help run operations, lead the team, and step in to cover the GM when needed. You’ll ensure the pub runs smoothly, maintain high standards and drive results.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience managing a busy pub, bar or restaurant team
• Confident stepping up as acting GM
• Individuals who want to progress into the GM role -AGM is a stepping stone into this.
• Proven leadership skills, able to motivate Front & BOH teams
• Confident managing operational performance
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
• Someone who loves a great community pub & never forgets that hospitality at its heart is fun!

This is a multi faceted pub, with a large outdoor garden, with kitchen and an upstairs events space. If you have previous management experience in these areas, you'll have us at hello!

• A competitive salary of £39,000 - £40,500 + tronc, bringing an OTE £42k - £44,500
