Job summary

The Winemakers Pub in the Weald of Kent is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help shape a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. You will work with the General Manager to supervise daily operations across dining, rooms, events and guest services, ensuring guests enjoy exceptional hospitality, seasonal food and friendly charm.

We value previous supervisory experience in premium hospitality, strong food and drink knowledge and a passion for achieving financial targets.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in premium hospitality is required.
• Excellent food and drink knowledge is expected.
• Good understanding of financial targets and how to achieve them.
• Ability to handle bedroom and function enquiries and bookings with competence and organisation.

Responsibilities

As Assistant General Manager, you’ll help shape the welcoming, relaxed atmosphere that makes The Winemakers Pub a favourite in the heart of the Weald of Kent. Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll support daily operations across dining, rooms, events and guest services, ensuring every visitor enjoys the exceptional hospitality, seasonal food and friendly charm that define our pub.

We're looking for our assistant managers to:

• Have some previous experience in supervising teams
• Lead by example
• Be passionate about food & drink
• Drive standards and knowledge to create exceptional guest experiences
• Create sales opportunities whenever they can

In this role we need someone with:

• Previous experience at supervisory level in a premium hospitality business
• Excellent food & drink knowledge
• Good understanding of the importance of financial targets and how we can achieve them
• Competence and organisation in handling bedroom and function enquiries and bookingS
• Own transport to get to and from work
