Role Overview:

The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial lawyer specializing in technology, data privacy, data protection, and AI. You will provide practical, business-focused legal advice globally.

Key Accountabilities:

• Support legal and regulatory matters for a global professional services organization.
• Advise on technology, data privacy, data protection, AI, and related issues; support daily commercial and regulatory legal matters.
• Manage compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and network policies.
• Support Technology and Risk Management teams with legal expertise.
• Develop and implement governance policies, procedures, and playbooks.
• Review and advise on new services, solutions, and governance processes, focusing on legal and regulatory issues.
• Manage external legal counsel across jurisdictions efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Provide practical advice balancing risk management and business needs.
• Deliver presentations and write articles on legal topics.
• Mentor junior team members.

About You:

• UK-qualified lawyer (or equivalent outside the UK) with significant law firm or relevant in-house experience.
• Strong legal expertise in leading complex legal and regulatory issues.
• Strategic risk management skills with quick issue identification and mitigation recommendations.
• Proficient in negotiating, drafting, reviewing agreements, and advising across jurisdictions.
• Ability to work independently and manage complex files, collaborating with teams.
