Role Overview:

The client seeks an experienced commercial lawyer focused on technology, data privacy, data protection, and AI. The successful candidate will provide practical, business-focused legal advice to the company and its partners worldwide.

Key Accountabilities:

• Provide legal support on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters for a global professional services organization.
• Advise on technology, data privacy, data protection, AI, and related matters; support day-to-day commercial and regulatory legal issues.
• Help ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations across jurisdictions and network policies.
• Support Technology and Risk Management teams with legal support for their activities.
• Develop and implement governance, policies, procedures, and playbooks.
• Review and advise on new services, solutions, and legal/regulatory issues related to technology, data privacy, data protection, and AI.
• Manage external legal counsel in multiple jurisdictions efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Balance practical, business-focused advice with risk management and compliance obligations.
• Present on legal topics and author articles.
• Mentor and support junior team members.

About You:

• UK-qualified lawyer or equivalent, with significant experience at a major law firm or relevant in-house experience.
• Expert legal skills with the ability to handle complex legal and regulatory issues.
• Strategic risk management skills with quick issue identification and mitigation recommendations.
• Experience negotiating, drafting, reviewing transactions, and advising across multiple jurisdictions.
