Role Overview:

Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment is representing a leading professional services firm in their search for an Assistant General Counsel to join their In-House Legal Team. The candidate should be an experienced commercial lawyer with expertise in technology, data privacy, data protection, and AI. The role involves providing practical legal advice to the business on a global scale.

Key Accountabilities:

• Provide legal support on regulatory matters for a global professional services organization.
• Advise on technology, data privacy, data protection, AI, and related legal issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across jurisdictions.
• Support Technology and Risk Management teams with legal guidance.
• Develop and implement governance policies and procedures.
• Review and advise on new services, solutions, and related legal issues.
• Manage external legal counsel in multiple jurisdictions efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Provide practical, business-focused legal advice while managing risks.
• Deliver presentations and write articles on legal topics.
• Mentor junior team members.

About You:

• UK qualified lawyer (or equivalent outside the UK) with significant experience, preferably including in-house roles.
• Strong legal skills with the ability to handle complex matters.
• Strategic risk management skills with quick issue identification and mitigation.
• Experience negotiating and reviewing commercial agreements across jurisdictions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
