Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time assistant gardener to work on a lovely private garden near Rugby. The 5 acre garden is part of a 41 acre estate and has recently undergone a full redesign by a well known garden designer. The garden consists of hedging, topiary, perineal borders, a meadow, old oak trees, water features, veg garden with greenhouse and formal lawns.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum 2 years experience in gardening, and a passion to learn. An RHS level 2 qualification or equivalent would be advantageous, but not necessary.

The candidate must have a keen eye for detail, a can do attitude and the ability to learn on the job. You will be working under the head gardener as part of a small team. The work will include, but not limited to weeding, pruning, hedge cutting, leaf clearing, mulching, and all manner of lawn care. This is a great opportunity for an open minded, enthusiastic, hardworking individual with a developing skill base looking for a supported role. Someone early on in their career and looking to progress.

Hours: 40 per week, 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday
