Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a Fire Safety and Security professional to support the Head and Deputy Head in delivering a high-quality fire safety service. The role involves monitoring standards, coordinating training, and ensuring compliance across UHNM sites.

Key duties include delivering staff training, coordinating fire drills, inspecting premises under Firecode, and handling fire safety inquiries to support a safe hospital environment.

Qualifications

At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.
To assist the Head and Deputy Head of Fire Safety and Security and the Fire Safety Team to deliver a professional fire safety service by monitoring fire safety standards and delivering fire safety training.

• Deliver training to all staff throughout UHNM
• Arrange fire drills and practical demonstrations of first aid fire fighting equipment
• Undertake regular inspections of all premises in accordance with Firecode
• Respond to general fire safety enquiries and correspondence
