Job summary

Selecta in the UK is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to own month-end close, manage group reporting, and drive control improvements. You will liaise with external auditors, support statutory accounts, and help transition to a new ERP while automating processes.

You will report to the Head of Financial Control and manage a defined portfolio of reconciliations and monthly Cognos submissions, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with post-qualification experience.
• Experience of month-end and group reporting across subsidiaries.
• Strong control environment and process improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead UK month-end close and provide variance analysis.
• Own reporting of revenue and margin for Technical and Wholesale streams.
• Prepare Cognos submissions monthly/quarterly/annually.
• Own balance sheet reconciliations and FloQast usage.
• Support year-end statutory accounts and auditor liaison.
