Job summary

Anglian Home Improvements is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to support the Group Financial Controller in delivering accurate reporting, strong financial control and clear insight across a busy, multi-site business. This role offers breadth, senior exposure and a chance to shape smarter finance processes while supporting budgeting, forecasting and treasury activities.

The successful candidate will have ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications, expert Excel skills and a proactive, collaborative

Qualifications

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with strong post‑qualification experience.
Solid background in management accounts, financial accounts, reporting and reconciliations.
Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems and data.
Strong attention to detail, commercial awareness and the ability to meet deadlines.
Proactive, collaborative and solutions‑focused approach.

Responsibilities

Reviewing monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting packs.
Supporting statutory accounts, audit activity, VAT, corporation tax and wider compliance requirements.
Strengthening financial controls, governance and reporting processes across the Group.
Supporting budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and treasury activity.
Providing clear financial insight to support decision‑making and continuous improvement.
Guiding and supporting colleagues within the Group Finance team.
