Due to internal progression, we have an exciting opportunity within our Chartwells sector at Compass Group UK & Ireland. The role is based at our head office in Birmingham with flexibility to work from home 2 days per week.

Role Overview: As an Assistant Finance Manager, you will deliver financial and commercial support to the Chartwells business sector, focusing on improving service levels, cost efficiency, and adding value through effective business partnering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive contractual performance and stakeholder understanding in business partnering roles
• Provide commercial insights and analysis to support operational decisions
• Manage and develop junior finance team members
• Identify and lead process improvements for efficiency
• Own financial results, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Ensure financial control, governance, and contractual compliance
• Present financial insights at meetings

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with diverse accounting experience
• Experience in business partnering with senior stakeholders
• Strong numeric, analytical, and communication skills
• Proficient in complex spreadsheets and commercial finance

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in multi-site, multi-contract organizations
• Knowledge of SAP & Cognos
