Job description

People2people are hiring for an Assistant Finance Manager to join an exciting family run automotive business based in South London. Due to expansion, the business is now seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to join the Finance team.

This role is perfect for an individual who is part qualified or just started the qualification ACCA/CIMA. Uniquely this position has a clear promotion route to Finance Manager, making it an excellent opportunity for someone to progress their career. Supporting the Head of Finance in their role, you will be working closely on a variety of tasks. This role also offers on-the-job training as well as professional study support.

Please note, this role is 5 days per week in the office, so please only apply if you are happy to commit to this.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assisting the Head of Finance with regular accounting such as end of month, quarterly, reviewing aged debtors, bank reconciliations etc.
2. Supervise two accountants day to day and provide support to them when required.
3. Identify and implement any process improvements relating to financial processes and systems.
4. Assisting the Head of Finance with the preparation of forecasts and budgeting.
5. Ensure that invoices are processed and in line with company policy, making sure they are paid in a timely manner.
6. Review all credit card and expense transactions, making sure to keep track.
7. Maintain and update rebate calculations.
8. Support the Head of Finance with the implementation of a new ERP system.
9. Ad hoc duties.

This role will be paid £30,000 - £40,000 p/a, as well as receiving a pension contribution of 6%, a Christmas bonus (discretionary), as well as professional study support and mentorship.
