GXO is currently looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to join us at our Avonmouth site (fully site-based) to support our new business win. You’ll assist in managing the site finance department, supporting operational activities including weekly forecasts, P&L reconciliations, budgeting, and period-end reporting in line with corporate policies and deadlines.

This is a full-time, permanent role, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00.

You’ll earn a salary of up to £38,000 per annum and enjoy 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays. Typical daily responsibilities:

  • Completing weekly and monthly management accounts for review with operational management
  • Providing detailed analysis and monthly reporting packs with supporting documents for financial charges
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders and understanding operational aspects
  • Using initiative to support leadership in operational excellence, challenging the status quo, and maximizing business benefits

Requirements to succeed at GXO:

  • Proven experience in management accounting
  • CIMA / ACCA student or AAT qualified or equivalent
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of open book accounting principles is advantageous
