Job summary

Mitchell Adam is partnering with an established property investment and development group to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager in Birmingham. The role blends management accounting with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management, while supporting junior team members across several entities.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders, providing accurate financial information and taking a hands-on approach to both technical accounting and broader commercial activity

Qualifications

• AAT qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience with management accounts and financial reporting.
• Experience budgeting, forecasting and cash flow within property environment.

We are now recruiting for an Assistant Finance Manager to join the finance team in a hands-on role offering a natural next step for an experienced finance professional. The position combines management accounting with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and responsibility for supporting junior members of the team.

You will work across multiple entities, providing accurate financial information while working closely with senior members of the business. This is a varied opportunity for someone who enjoys having broad responsibility and being involved across different areas of the finance function.

Skills Needed

• AAT qualified or qualified by experience, with solid experience across a broad finance role.
• Strong experience preparing management accounts, with a good understanding of month-end accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience across budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management within a property environment.
• Previous experience supporting or supervising junior finance team members.
