Assistant Farm Manager Up to £50,000 + Private Healthcare + 25 Days Holiday + Vehicle Access

Are you an experienced grower looking for your next step in farm management? We're working with a long-established family-run farming business in Suffolk to find a talented Assistant Farm Manager to lead their organic enterprise. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, approachable management team and play a pivotal role in a diverse farming operation covering over 3,000 acres.

The Role

As Assistant Farm Manager, you\'ll be responsible for day-to-day operations across a wide rotation of vegetable crops.

You\'ll report into the Farm Manager, working closely with colleagues across operations, harvesting, and sales to ensure smooth workflow between the organic and conventional sides of the business.

This role is about leading people and managing performance - it\'s not a tractor-driving position, but you\'ll be highly visible on the ground, working side by side with your team and seasonal workers during peak months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the establishment, growth, irrigation, and harvest of vegetable crops.
  • Manage staff within the organic team, supporting recruitment and training.
  • Work closely with senior managers to coordinate across departments.
  • Ensure best practice in organic farming to maximise yields and maintain high quality.

  • BASIS and/or FACTS qualifications desirable (or willingness to train).
