Job summary

Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd is recruiting an Assistant Estimator in Northampton to support senior estimators across fit-out projects. You will help prepare estimates, review drawings, and gather subcontractor quotes while developing your estimating skills on a range of projects from small to large scales.

Working closely with the commercial team, you will progress from assisting on larger tenders to taking ownership of smaller projects, gaining exposure to projects from £50k up to £10m and

Qualifications

• Previous experience within an estimating role or construction environment.
• Experience using estimating and tendering software.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Experience within the fit-out or interiors sector.
• Experience using ConQuest estimating software.
• Exposure to commercial construction projects.
• Working knowledge of tendering processes.

Responsibilities

• Assisting Senior Estimators with tender submissions
• Preparing estimates and cost plans for fit-out projects
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
• Obtaining and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Preparing take-offs and pricing schedules
• Supporting the tendering process from enquiry through to submission
• Managing smaller tenders independently
• Working with the wider commercial and operational teams
• Maintaining accurate estimating records and documentation
