Job Title: Assistant Estimator

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Estimator to join a busy Estimating team. This role involves supporting senior estimators in the preparation, costing, and submission of tenders across a range of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist lead estimators in the compilation of competitive tender submissions.

• Support the measurement and quantification of project requirements.

• Provide cover for the Estimating Administrator during periods of annual leave.

• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to gather quotations and relevant documentation.

• Help maintain accurate records of tender documents and correspondence.

Candidate Profile:

• Ideally working towards a qualification in construction or a related field, with some prior experience in a similar role.

• A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and take on increased responsibility as skills develop.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.

• Based within approximately one hour of the office (typically within Surrey).

• Training will be provided, with scope for progression based on aptitude and performance.

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary in the range of 30,000 to 45,000 per annum, depending on experience and ability.

• Two-month probationary period.

• 4 weeks of annual leave, plus discretionary additional days at Christmas.

• Access to the company pension scheme upon completion of probation.

• Eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus scheme after one year of service.
