Job summary

4Recruitment Services Ltd is recruiting for a maintenance engineering role in Birmingham. The position involves a 4 on 4 off rotation with 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am shifts on the year-round contract.

You will manage preventive and reactive maintenance across the estate, ensure records are kept, and support site activity while complying with safety rules and HTMs. DBS check required prior to starting and a long-term temp-to-perm pathway is available.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance across the contract estate, primarily on the shift-based rotation, ensuring delivery of maintenance services in line with contractual obligations and HTM guidance.
• Assist in the operational delivery for site activity.
• Undertake any reasonable duties to maintain all services to the client.
• Provide management support to stakeholders.
• Carry out all works in compliance with KPIs.
• Manage individually assigned work to ensure site performance via CAFM systems and digital tools for accuracy.
• Achieve, manage and maintain AP/CP appointments as requested by estates management.
• Be conversant with current regulations, CDM, HTMs and all safety rules.
• Interpret drawings and instructions without supervision.
• Set up New Work appropriate to trade using relevant tools and machinery.

Pay: £24.26 PAYE (£50k + £3k shift allowance)

Duration: Ongoing Contract – Long Term/Temp to Perm for the right person

Duties

• To Manage maintenance across the contract estate primarily across the shift based rotation for this role. Responsible for the delivery of engineering maintenance service in line with contractual obligations, industry best practice and relevant standards and guidance (HTM). The role is to ensure planned preventive maintenance, testing, breakdown/reactive maintenance activities on the estate are completed and records maintained.

• Provide management support to stakeholders
• To carry out all works in compliance with KPI's
• Manage individually assigned work effectively to ensure site performance via use of CAFM systems and other digital based management tools is accurate when reviewed by management
• Achieve, manage and maintain AP/CP appointments in disciplines as requested by estates management team to support the contract where required and appropriate
• To be conversant with and work to the current regulations, codes of practice, Health & Safety regulations (CDM), HTMs, and all safety rules
• Interpret and work from all instructions, drawings and specifications, without supervision.
• Set up 'New Work' appropriate to his/her own trade using relevant tools, equipment and machinery, as appropriate to his/her grade
