Lincs Laboratory is recruiting for a career-grade Assistant Engineer/Engineer to join our Engineering Consultancy Team within Lincolnshire County Council. This hybrid role offers exposure to highway engineering, pavement design and geotechnical investigations, with progression from Assistant Engineer to the G9 grade and a salary range up to £44,253.

• Experience in geotechnical ground investigations and pavement design.
• Knowledge of highway construction materials and QA processes.
• Ability to work with Local Authorities and contractors.
• Progression through professional levels within Lincolnshire County Council.

Responsibilities

• Undertake pavement investigations and develop designs for major projects.
• Support and deliver geotechnical ground investigations.
• Assess materials and workmanship on highway projects.
• Provide technical advice to clients.
• Work with authorities, contractors and material suppliers.
• Assist with delivery of consultancy projects UK-wide.
• Blend of office-based technical work and site-based engineering experience.
