Job summary

City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council is seeking an Assistant Engineer/Engineer to join the Highway Maintenance team. You will help plan, design and deliver carriageway resurfacing programmes and related contracts, and support procurement, contract administration and on-site supervision across Bradford District.

Qualified to at least HNC/D or Technical NVQ Level 6 in Civil Engineering, with demonstrable post-qualification experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and deliver carriageway resurfacing work programmes and related contracts.
• Assist with procurement, award and administration of contracts and supervise works on site.
• Procure surveys and analyse data to inform schemes and treatments.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet highway service objectives.
