Job summary

West Northamptonshire Council is seeking an Assistant Educational Psychologist in Northampton. You will work with qualified EPs to deliver core and traded services, supporting children and families and promoting emotional wellbeing in educational settings. A solid psychology degree and experience with children is essential, with opportunities to pursue doctoral training.

The role offers hybrid/remote working, a flexible approach, and extensive CPD opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Hold a good degree in psychology and demonstrate experience with children and young people.
• Experience in an educational setting is preferred.
• Commitment to developing practice and doctoral training applications.

Responsibilities

• Join a team of EPs and assistants to deliver core and traded services.
• Support assessments and direct work with children and young people.
• Contribute to training, PATHS, MeLSA, TAMHS, and EBSA initiatives.
• Engage in research and evaluation for service improvement.
