Job summary

Sidney Stringer Academy is seeking an Assistant Education Welfare Officer to join the Attendance team in Coventry. You will work under the direction of the Attendance Lead and Education Welfare Officer, supporting students, families and staff to address barriers to attendance and ensure that concerns are identified, recorded and escalated appropriately.

The Assistant Education Welfare Officer will work under the direction of the Attendance Lead and Education Welfare Officer, supporting students, families and staff to address barriers to attendance and ensure that attendance concerns are identified, recorded and escalated appropriately., As an Assistant Education Welfare Officer within Sidney Stringer Academy, you'll be able to make a key difference to a pupil's educational experience as a crucial part of the wider team, and will have the opportunity to develop your skill set with key training and development opportunities available.

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to speak confidently and professionally with parents, carers, students, staff and external agencies
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and families
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage records accurately
• Good IT skills, including the ability to use spreadsheets, email and school based systems
