Our client, a global professional membership body within the legal sector, is seeking an Assistant Editor to join their editorial team. This role is crucial in supporting the editorial production of their bi-monthly magazine and quarterly technical supplement, ensuring high-quality, engaging content for their members.
This hybrid position requires 37.5 hours per week, with a minimum of two days in the London office. The organisation offers fantastic benefits, including private healthcare, a generous holiday allowance, and flexible working.
As Assistant Editor, you will work closely with the Managing Editor and Graphic Designer to support the editorial process. You will be responsible for copy-editing and proofreading, liaising with authors and stakeholders, uploading and managing content via a CMS, and coordinating publication newsletters. Additionally, you will assist with editorial board meetings, data analytics reporting, and content engagement strategies.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar editorial role, ideally within professional or academic publishing, or the B2B/B2C magazine sector. You should be comfortable working with technical content, able to quickly grasp new subject areas, and demonstrate exceptional accuracy skills.
A passion for creating engaging, insightful content is essential, as is the ability to build strong industry networks to ensure the publications remain relevant and inspiring for members. Knowledge of digital publishing platforms, SEO, CMS, and analytics tools is desirable.
