Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supervisor to join our Housekeeping Team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Trust. We are seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, and qualified professional to lead the housekeeping services across the site, focusing on improving the patient experience. This is a Band 3 position for Assistant Duty Manager (Monday - Sunday with flexibility to cover shifts on a rotational basis as required), including weekends and evenings. This high-profile role requires a competent and experienced supervisor responsible for maintaining high standards of cleaning and supporting a large team of Housekeeping Assistants.
The aim of this post is to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities include overseeing all housekeeping duties, ensuring cleaning is conducted per procedures, managing staff, maintaining records, conducting audits, and ensuring safety and compliance in all areas.
Other duties involve stock management, reporting defects, ensuring privacy and dignity of patients, incident reporting, and staff training. Regular team communication and annual appraisals are also part of the role.
