Job summary

Structural Soils, part of the RSK Group, is hiring an Assistant Driller to join our team in Castleford and support drilling operations across the UK. The role involves outdoor work, manual labour, and assisting senior drillers on various sites.

A full UK driving licence is essential, with CSCS desirable and a focus on safety and quality. The position offers competitive pay with overtime for night and weekend work, frequent training, and a range of employee benefits, including pension and health

  • Work outside across the UK at various locations (overnight stays often required, all expenses paid).
  • Assist Lead Drillers in our Drilling Department on sites nationwide.
  • Perform general labouring duties (erecting fences, reinstatement, deliveries, sample collection).
  • Handle manual tasks and operate site equipment with training.
  • Assist with Warehouse duties.

The Vacancy Structural Soils part of the RSK Group have an exciting new opportunity! Due to the continued growth of our team, we have a vacancy for an Assistant Driller to join our team based in Castleford, UK. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to join a supportive and experienced team that focuses on quality and H&S. We work all over the UK ranging from inner-city to countryside locations.

Responsibilities
  • Working outside throughout the year in varying locations around the UK (staying away is often required; all expenses paid)
  • Assisting Lead Drillers in our Drilling Department on sites all over the UK ranging from inner-city to countryside locations
  • Undertaking general labouring duties e.g., erecting fences, general reinstatement, delivery of consumables, hand dug inspection pits and collection of samples
  • Manual handling and moving heavy items, plus training in the use of some site equipment and plant
  • Assisting with tasks in the Warehouse
  • Opportunities to work on all of our rig types
About You
  • Must have a full UK driving licence.
  • Have a flexible approach to working with a focus of delivering results.
  • Be reliable and have good time-keeping skills.
  • Enjoy working as a team and have the ability to work individually on tasks.
  • Be able to carry out physically challenging tasks.
  • Be able to follow strict industry health and safety and environmental standards.
  • A CSCS Card is desirable but not essential.
