Job summary

Integrate Engineering Resources is seeking an Assistant Driller / Second Man to join a geothermal drilling operation in Aylesbury, supporting an experienced Lead Driller on site.

This role is suitable for candidates with drilling, groundworks or outdoor site experience who want to develop a career in the renewable energy sector. CSCS card and full UK driving licence are preferred, with training provided.

We offer a competitive PAYE rate and an immediate start for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in drilling or outdoor site work preferred.
• CSCS card or ability to obtain one.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Lead Driller with geothermal borehole drilling
• Supporting the operation of drilling rigs and ancillary equipment
• Operating and maintaining mud cleaning/recycling equipment
• Assisting with installation of ground-source heat pump borehole loops
• Supporting grouting and borehole completion
• Keeping the rig, equipment and work area clean, safe and prepared
• Assisting with routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
• Maintaining high health & safety and environmental standards
• Supporting site records and QA/QC requirements

IMMEDIATE START - ASSISTANT DRILLER / SECOND MAN - Aylesbury

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Driller / Second Man to join a geothermal drilling operation in Aylesbury, supporting an experienced Lead Driller on site.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in drilling, groundworks, construction, plant operations or other outdoor site-based work who is looking to develop a career within the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Lead Driller with geothermal borehole drilling
• Supporting the operation of drilling rigs and ancillary equipment
• Operating and maintaining mud cleaning/recycling equipment
• Assisting with installation of ground-source heat pump borehole loops
• Supporting grouting and borehole completion
• Keeping the rig, equipment and work area clean, safe and prepared
• Assisting with routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
• Maintaining high health & safety and environmental standards
• Supporting site records and QA/QC requirements

Requirements:

• Previous drilling experience preferred but not essential
• Previous outdoor construction, groundworks or site experience
• CSCS card or ability to obtain one
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Strong work ethic and reliable attitude
• Good communication and ability to work as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and develop within geothermal drilling
• Telehandler ticket and Emergency First Aid desirable
